What
should I consider?
- The year
your house was built. The newer the house, the better. Some companies
will not cover a home if it is too old.
- Have there
been any updates to the house? Even if the house is old, having certain
renovations can qualify you for possible discounts and better tier ratings.
- The condition
of the house. A lot of companies will come out and inspect a home after
we write it here in the office. If they find anything that does not
meet their requirements, they can instantly cancel your policy (e.g.
cracked or crumbling walkways, overhanging tree branches, shingles skewed
off the roof, etc).
